A DIGITAL ASSISTANT FOR CONSTRUCTION TEAMS

Site safety.
Followed through.

A concern on site needs more than a record. It needs someone responsible, an agreed action and a clear outcome.

Dailex is being developed to help smaller construction teams capture what workers report and keep actions moving — with the supervisor in control.

Developed in New Zealand by Rockstead Construction.

THE FOLLOW-THROUGH01—04
01

Hear it.

Capture the worker’s concern.

02

Own it.

Put the decision with the supervisor.

03

Follow it.

Track the responsible person’s commitment.

04

Close it.

Review the outcome and update the worker.

Clear responsibility. A traceable history.

MADE FOR THE WORK BETWEEN THE CHECKS

The paperwork is only
part of the job.

Conditions change. Contractors arrive. Something gets missed. Dailex’s pilot focuses on making those loose ends visible and easier to follow up.

01 / CAPTURE

In the worker’s
own words.

The aim is a practical voice-led check-in that captures tasks, changes and concerns without sending workers back to a desk.

02 / COORDINATE

A named person.
A clear next step.

Bring the issue to the supervisor, record the decision and assign an action to the person responsible.

03 / FOLLOW UP

A commitment
you can follow.

Track agreed timing, request completion evidence and keep unresolved matters visible until they are reviewed.

ONE CONCERN, ALL THE WAY THROUGH

What happens next
should be clear.

Explore an illustrative blocked-access report. This is the workflow being developed for the pilot.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE01 / 04
ACCESS ROUTE / MATERIALS IN THE WAY

“The access route is blocked.”

A worker describes where the problem is and what they have seen. Their report is kept separate from a summary.

ACTION STATEReported · awaiting supervisor decision

Recording a concern starts the process. It does not resolve it.

The pilot is designed around human authorisation, clear ownership and evidence. Site decisions and required checks stay with the responsible people.

BUILT ON SITE, FOR THE PEOPLE ON SITE

From a builder’s
day-to-day reality.

Dailex is being developed by Rockstead Construction Limited, starting with the practical demands of its own jobs.

The first goal is focused: prove a complete path from a worker’s concern through a supervisor’s decision to an action reviewed for closure.

Before wider release, the pilot will test what makes check-ins useful, where follow-up saves time and what needs to stay in a person’s hands.

Currently in development.
We’re interested in hearing from smaller construction teams about pilot participation and the problems they need solved.

A FEW PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you get
in touch.

Who is Dailex for?

Smaller construction businesses coordinating workers and contractors across changing sites. The initial pilot is on Rockstead jobs, before offering it more widely.

Can we use it on our site now?

Dailex is in development. Get in touch to discuss pilot interest and what your team needs; wider availability and pricing are still to be established.

How does it fit with our existing safety system?

The aim is to support practical check-ins and follow-through alongside your existing site rules, plans and contractor processes. Compatibility with your particular system would be assessed during a pilot discussion.

Who makes the decisions?

The supervisor authorises actions, and the responsible people provide the checks and evidence needed to review the result. Dailex is being designed to help capture, organise and follow up that work.
